Common problems with highway charging
What should I do if I queue up for charging?
Consultation service area staff: You can inquire with the staff.
Use related apps: Check the usage of public charging stations near highway exits and choose urban public charging stations reasonably.
View the next service area: Use relevant apps to check the usage of charging stations in the next service area and plan charging stations based on the remaining mileage.
What if the charging gun is locked?
Charging order not settled: Do not remove the charging gun before the order is completed to avoid locking the gun.
Communication charging station: If the gun is locked, try unlocking the vehicle or restarting the charging before pulling out the gun. If it still doesn't work, please consult the 4S store as the unlocking method may vary for different car models.
DC charging station: If the charging gun comes with a locking device, it can be manually unlocked using a mechanical lock buckle. The lock buckle is usually hung on the handle of the equipment gun and can be unlocked by inserting it into the small hole and pushing it. If there is no lock buckle, you can use a thin nail or other object to insert into the small hole for unlocking. If the problem still cannot be solved, please call the customer service hotline of the charging operator.
What should I do if I can't charge it?
Check connection: First, check if the charging gun and vehicle charging port are abnormal, ensure that the charging gun is fully inserted, and check the charging station display screen to confirm the connection status. If the problem persists, it is recommended to go to the 4S store to check the vehicle's charging port.
Confirm battery status: Long battery life or improper charging method may cause unstable charging, and the battery needs to be replaced or repaired in a timely manner.
Contact professionals: Call the 4S store or charging operator for remote technical support.
4. Be cautious when charging on rainy days
When charging on rainy days, one should choose a well ventilated and dry environment. Before charging, ensure that the charging gun and charging port are kept dry. When inserting or removing, be careful to block rainwater to prevent it from entering the charging port.
Why do DC charging stations have different charging speeds?
Battery charging power: The charging speed of DC charging stations is closely related to the allowed charging power of electric vehicle batteries. The maximum charging power of batteries varies among different vehicle models. If the battery power is low, even if the charging station has high power, the charging speed will be limited.
Battery level and temperature: Battery charging follows a slow fast slow pattern, usually charging faster between 20% and 80% of remaining battery capacity, and slowing down after reaching 80%. In addition, high or low battery temperature can also affect charging speed.
